Stockbridge, MA, April 13, 2018—Norman Rockwell Museum will present a family day with artist Tony DiTerlizzi on Sunday, May 27, from 1 to 4 p.m. to celebrate the final weekend of its current exhibition of the illustrator’s work. The special closing event will feature drawing demonstrations, exhibition tours, readings, and a talk and book signing by the artist.

Speaking about the success of Never Abandon Imagination: The Fantastical Art of Tony DiTerlizzi recently with WGBY Public Television, DiTerlizzi remarked that the exhibition “has encouraged and inspired me to explore even more what I can do with storytelling.” The artist, who grew up inspired by Norman Rockwell’s work, is currently finishing his latest picture book, set for publication later this year. “I always loved the idea that a drawing could also tell a story.”

The family day is free for Museum members, children 18 and under, or included with Museum admission.
