Student Ambassadors: A Junior Docent Program

Join us for this engaging week-long program that will enhance student appreciation of art and visual culture as they acquire skills meaningful for all facets of life, from inquiry and research to public speaking and the articulation of ideas. Our Student Ambassador Program fosters peer mentoring and a sense of camaraderie in a nurturing atmosphere that encourages learning from each other and from the Museum’s staff and collections, as well as other regional educators, artists, and specialists in a variety of fields. Participants in this special training program may choose to continue their work with the Museum as student ambassadors throughout the year. This program supports the U.S. Department of Education’s College and Career Readiness standards. $230; $195 members.

Land Acknowledgement

It is with gratitude and humility that we acknowledge that we are learning, speaking and gathering on the ancestral homelands of the Mohican people, who are the indigenous peoples of this land on which the Norman Rockwell Museum was built. Despite tremendous hardship in being forced from here, today their community resides in Wisconsin and is known as the Stockbridge-Munsee Community. We pay honor and respect to their ancestors past and present as we commit to building a more inclusive and equitable space for all.
