Thanksgiving Weekend Family Day
Book Launch! A Day in the Life of a Girl and Boy
Saturday, November 25

1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Join us for this fun-filled afternoon of talks, booksignings, readings, and artmaking in celebration of two new books for young readers, Norman Rockwell’s A Day in the Life of a Girl and A Day in the Life of a Boy. At 1:30 p.m., enjoy a conversation between author Will Lach, Vice President and Editorial Director of Abbeville Press, and Mary Whalen Leonard, Norman Rockwell’s favorite child model and the star of several important paintings. A reading and booksigning will follow. Create an artwork that describes a day in your life! Free for Museum members, or included with Museum admission. Children free to age 18.

Land Acknowledgement

It is with gratitude and humility that we acknowledge that we are learning, speaking and gathering on the ancestral homelands of the Mohican people, who are the indigenous peoples of this land on which the Norman Rockwell Museum was built. Despite tremendous hardship in being forced from here, today their community resides in Wisconsin and is known as the Stockbridge-Munsee Community. We pay honor and respect to their ancestors past and present as we commit to building a more inclusive and equitable space for all.
