Norman Rockwell Museum Announces Call for Papers for Rockwell Center Symposium

Norman Rockwell Museum’s Rockwell Center for American Visual Studies and the D.B. Dowd Modern Graphic History Library at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, announce a call for proposals for "Illustration Across Media: Nineteenth Century to Now," a symposium to be held at Washington University from March 21 through 23, 2019. The deadline for proposals is November 1, 2018.

Norman Rockwell Museum Looks at The New Woman in American Pop Culture

Norman Rockwell Museum will present an evening with author and Rockwell Center for American Visual Studies Fellow, Barbara Tepa Lupack, Ph.D. on Thursday, August 30, starting at 5:30 p.m. Dr. Lupak will explore the role of magazine illustration and editorial/political cartoons in defining and popularizing the notion of the "New Woman" of the turn of the twentieth century.
