Creating a moment that communicates emotionally with the viewer is at the heart of Gregory Manchess’ art. Join this award-winning illustrator for an exploration of the art of realist painting inspired by the imagination. Light and shadow, color strategies, figure construction, and tonal design will be discussed and demonstrated, and all levels are welcome. The artist has worked in nearly every aspect of illustration, building visuals for a wide range of clients—from children’s books, to book covers, to advertising, film projects, and murals. His paintings for Above the Timberline are on view. Advance registration required, $45, $35 members.
