Artist Talk & Booksigning
Wendell Minor: Getting to Know Norman Rockwell
Saturday, September 28, 5 pm.

Jump into the process of creating a children’s picturebook with Wendell Minor, whose new illustrated story, Hi, I’m Norman, employs a first-person narrative to engage young readers with Rockwell’s life and career. The artist’s striking visual narratives and elegant designs have appeared on nearly 2000 book covers and more than 50 children’s books. Original artworks will be on view; illustrations from Night Flight: Amelia Earhart Crosses the Atlantic; Abraham Lincoln Comes Home; and Edward Hopper Paints His World which are in the Norman Rockwell Museum’s permanent collection. Refreshments and a booksigning will follow the program. $25/15 members or apply program pass. Kids/teens to 18- free.
