Art Museum Day
Thursday, May 18
10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Thursday, May 18, Norman Rockwell Museum will offer free admission for the eighth annual Art Museum Day sponsored by Association of Art Museum Directors. In honor of our shared belief that the arts are a crucial element of civil society, essential to the well-being of our communities and our democracies, 144 AAMD members across North America will offer free or reduced admission, educational programs, and/or discounts on or around May 18. Norman Rockwell Museum is one of seven museums in Massachusetts to participate in the program. Museum visitors are encouraged to use social media to share their Art Museum Day experiences with their museum and their social networks. See complete list.

Land Acknowledgement

It is with gratitude and humility that we acknowledge that we are learning, speaking and gathering on the ancestral homelands of the Mohican people, who are the indigenous peoples of this land on which the Norman Rockwell Museum was built. Despite tremendous hardship in being forced from here, today their community resides in Wisconsin and is known as the Stockbridge-Munsee Community. We pay honor and respect to their ancestors past and present as we commit to building a more inclusive and equitable space for all.
