Norman Rockwell Museum Partners with Collective Arts Brewing to Establish Student Call for Art and Festival
Norman Rockwell Museum and Collective Arts Brewing have announced a new partnership designed to promote illustration programs around the country and highlight career paths available to artists. The Museum and the craft beer company have teamed up to host their first Art of Brewing call for art, open to art students in the United States. The submission deadline is March 31, 2019.

This summer, the Norman Rockwell Museum celebrates 50 years as the nation’s leading center for illustration art with a suite of three special exhibitions that explore Rockwell’s art, life, and legacy, and the year 1969, as well as an installation of photographs, new media, and artifacts that together evoke Stockbridge’s Old Corner House, where the Museum was first established.
Norman Rockwell Museum Presents 33rd Annual Berkshire County High School Art Show
In celebration of Norman Rockwell’s 125th birthday, Norman Rockwell Museum will present the 33rd annual Berkshire County High School Art Show, with a special exhibition opening to be held on Saturday, February 2, from 2 to 4 p.m. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the young artists, and at 2:30 p.m. hear a lecture from acclaimed illustrator Gregory Manchess, whose work is also currently on view at the Museum.

The Norman Rockwell Museum presents The Art and Wit of Rube Goldberg, an exhibition exploring the humorous illustrations of the visionary artist, who has become famous for the creative inventions bearing his name. On view at the Museum from March 2 through June 9, 2019, the exhibition will offer a revealing look at Goldberg’s creativity

Magic Tree House Author Mary Pope Osborne To Give Talk on the Art of Storytelling at Norman Rockwell Museum
The Norman Rockwell Museum and Berkshire Magazine will present a special talk with author Mary Pope Osborne and her Magic Tree House Team at the Museum on Thursday, January 10, starting at 5:30 p.m. Osborne, who lives part-time in the Berkshires and whose family home is in Great Barrington, will share her creative process and storytelling ideas for the award-winning Magic Tree House series of children’s books.
Norman Rockwell Museum and Mahaiwe To Present Above the Timberline Radio Play
Norman Rockwell Museum and The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center will present the world premiere of Above the Timberline, a radio play based on the critically acclaimed novel by illustrator/author Gregory Manchess. Performed by high school students from Berkshire County, the radio play will be presented on Friday, February 1, starting at 7 p.m, on the stage of The Mahaiwe in Great Barrington.

Norman Rockwell Museum To Celebrate Cultural Traditions with Members and Donors Holiday Party
In conjunction with its new exhibition Cultural Traditions: A Holiday Celebration, Norman Rockwell Museum will host a seasonal holiday party for its members on Friday, December 14, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The family-friendly celebration will feature holiday food from around the world, a chance to take in the holiday exhibitions, and activities for the whole family.
