Cover of "Edward Hopper in Vermont" by Bonnie Tocher Clause.Join us this Thursday, August 14, starting at 5:30 p.m., as our “Edward Hopper’s World” lecture series explores Hopper’s time spent in the nearby state of Vermont.  Bonnie Tocher Clause, author of Edward Hopper in Vermont (2012) will discuss the artist’s visits to “The Green Mountain State,” where he and his wife Jo discovered the area’s scenic beauty. Ms. Tocher Clause will also look at some two dozen paintings that Edward Hopper created during this period—including watercolors that are among the most distinctive of his regional works. A reception with the author will follow.

The event is being presented in conjunction with the Museum’s current exhibition, The Unknown Hopper: Edward Hopper as Illustator, and is free for Museum members, or with regular Museum admission.
