Design a Unique Garden GateGarden gates are the quintessential element of an ideal garden and provide symbolic entry into a world of color and aesthetic beauty. Plain or fancy, white or polychromed, and constructed of myriad materials, garden gates will complement the idyllic grounds of the historic 1859 Linwood Estate at the Norman Rockwell Museum during this exciting outdoor installation. Unique and personal conceptions are welcome, and will offer new perspectives on a timeless component of the pastoral and suburban landscape. Artists and craftspeople working in any media are invited to submit proposals for the 2008 In Full Bloom exhibition. Three-dimensional, weather-resistant, outdoor gates will be reviewed by a panel of prominent arts professionals. On view during our busy summer season, these full-scale gates will welcome thousands of visitors to our bucolic, thirty-six acre site. Final selections will be exhibited on the grounds from July 5th through September 7, 2008. Prizes will be awarded for the Best in Show, Most Inventive, Most Classic, Most Functional, and Viewer’s Choice.
