Timeline

Welcome to Norman Rockwell Museum’s new interactive timeline, where you will find information, slideshows, and videos about Norman Rockwell’s life, models, and paintings during the years that he lived in Stockbridge, Massachusetts—from 1953 until his death in 1978.

Requires the Flash plug-in version 8 or higher and a broadband connection.

To use the timeline, simply click on an image to read more about it. Some pictures contain interactive slideshows with archival photographs and documents that will tell you more about his working methods and creative process. Other images contain videotaped interviews with models and experts who will shed light on the creation of Rockwell’s illustrations. The timeline will soon include highlights from Norman Rockwell’s entire career. Come back often to watch it grow. We hope you enjoy the tour!
